One of the many perks of renovating properties in one of Reno’s oldest neighborhoods (and newest conservation district) is bumping into some history along the way. We were fortunate enough to bump into a local with some photos of one of our properties from around 1915-1920 that give a beautiful window into the past:
When we got a hold of this particular property, it had been split into a duplex and looked like it hadn’t seen much love for a while. It was abandoned and showed evidence of squatters having broken in. Today, it’s one of the nicest houses on the block and one of our favorite Marmot burrows.
A big thanks to Brian at Timeless Enterprises, Inc. for the scanned images from Reno’s past!
